Design by Gautier van Bijlaer. Commemorates the famous victory in capturing Breda from the Spanish, when Prince Maurice smuggled seventy soldiers into the city hidden in a peat barge. They attacked the guards and let Prince Maurice and his army enter the city. Some reports state that the medal was awarded to the victors.
